This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and what rights you have concerning it when you use the Vibexpert mobile application and website.

We collect personal information that you voluntarily provide to us when you register on the App, express an interest in obtaining information about us or our products, or otherwise contact us. The personal information that we collect depends on the context of your interactions with us and the App.

• Account Information: Name, username, email address, password, college name, and registration number.
• Profile Information: Profile pictures, cover photos, bios, and connected partner accounts.
• User-Generated Content: Posts, photos, videos, comments, likes, and messages (both public and anonymous Ghost Chat messages).
• Payment Data: We may collect data necessary to process your payment if you make purchases through the Vibeshop or subscribe to RealVibes. All payment data is handled securely by Razorpay.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use personal information collected via our App for a variety of business purposes described below:

• To facilitate account creation and login processes securely using Supabase.
• To verify your college affiliation and grant access to exclusive community sections ("Vibers").
• To enable user-to-user communications, including the anonymous "Ghost Mode".
• To fulfill and manage your orders, payments, and subscriptions through Razorpay.
• To protect our Services from fraud and enforce our terms and conditions.

4. Ghost Mode & Anonymity

Vibexpert offers a "Ghost Mode" for anonymous chatting within your college community. When using Ghost Mode, your real identity, username, and profile picture are hidden from other users, and an anonymous alias is displayed. However, for safety, moderation, and legal compliance, the platform backend retains the association between your account and your Ghost alias to prevent abuse.

5. Sharing Your Information

We only share information with your consent, to comply with laws, to provide you with services, to protect your rights, or to fulfill business obligations. We may share your data with the following third-party service providers:

• Supabase: For secure user authentication and database hosting.
• Razorpay: For secure processing of payments and subscriptions.
• MongoDB / Render: For hosting our backend servers and application logic.

6. Data Retention and Security

We will only keep your personal information for as long as it is necessary for the purposes set out in this privacy notice, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law. We have implemented appropriate technical and organizational security measures (such as encrypted data transfers) designed to protect the security of any personal information we process.

7. Your Privacy Rights
